FAITH LIKE A CHILD!

The following account was written by a medical missionary in a remote region of South Africa. "I had worked hard one night to help a mother in the labor ward who was struggling for her life as she gave birth to her child. In spite of all we could do, she died, leaving us with a tiny premature baby and a two-year-old daughter. We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive, as we had no incubator or electricity. We also had no special feeding facilities.

"Although we lived on the equator, nights were often chilly with treacherous drafts. One student midwife went for the box we had for such babies and the cotton wool that the baby would be wrapped in. Another went to stoke up the fire and fill a hot water bottle. She came back shortly in distress to tell me, that in filling the bottle, it had burst (rubber perishes easily in tropical climates). 'And it was our last hot water bottle!' she exclaimed.

"All right," I said, 'Put the baby as near the fire as you safely can and sleep between the baby and the door to keep it free from drafts. Your job is to keep the baby warm.'

"The following noon, I went to have prayers with any of the orphanage children who chose to gather with me. I gave them various suggestions of things to pray about and told them about the tiny baby. I explained the problem about keeping the baby warm enough, mentioning the hot water bottle, and that the baby could so easily die if it got chills. I also mentioned the two-year-old sister crying because her mother had died.

"During prayer time, one 10-year-old girl, Ruth, prayed with the usual blunt conciseness of our African children. 'Please, God, send us a hot water bottle today. It'll be no good tomorrow, God, as the baby will be dead, so please send it this afternoon.' While I gasped inwardly at the audacity of the prayer, she added, 'And while You are about it, would You please send a doll for her little sister so she'll know You really love her?'

"I was on the spot. I just did not believe that God could do this. Yes, I know God can do everything, the Bible says so. But there are limits, aren't there? The only way God could answer this particular prayer would be by sending me a parcel from the homeland. I had been in Africa almost four years at that time, and I had never, ever, received a parcel from home. Anyway, if anyone did send me a parcel, who would put in a hot water bottle? I lived on the equator!

"Halfway through the afternoon, while I was teaching in the nurses' training school, a message was sent that there was a car at my front door. By the time I reached home, the car was gone, but there, on the veranda, was a large 22-pound parcel. I felt tears streaming down my face. I could not open the parcel alone, so I sent for the orphanage children. Together they pulled off the string, carefully undoing each knot. We folded the paper, taking care not to tear it unduly. Excitement was mounting. Some forty pair of eyes were focused on the large cardboard box.

"From the top, I lifted out brightly colored knitted jerseys. Eyes sparkled as I gave them out. There were bandages for the leprosy patients, and the children looked a little bored. Then came a box of mixed raisins and mixing flour that could make a batch of buns. Then I put my hand in again, and felt the...could it really be? I grasped it and pulled it out. Yes, a brand new rubber hot water bottle. I cried.

I had not asked God to send it; I had not truly believed that He could. Ruth was in the front row of the children. She rushed forward, crying out, 'If God has sent us the bottle, He must have sent the doll too!' Rummaging down to the bottom of the box, she pulled out the small, beautifully dressed doll. Her eyes shone! She had never doubted! Looking up at me, she said, 'Can I go over with you and give this doll to that little girl, so she will know that Jesus really loves her?' 'Of course,' I replied.

"That parcel had been on the way for five whole months! Packed up by my former Sunday school class, whose leader had heard and obeyed God's prompting to send a hot water bottle, even to the equator. And one of the girls had put in the doll for an African child, five months before, in answer to the believing prayer of a ten-year-old to bring it that afternoon!"

MUSLIM'S LEG VISIBLY HEALED!

In western Ethiopia revival is spreading like wildfire. A year ago the West Pioneer Area (now Ethiopia West District) had no churches at all - not even one preaching point. Today they have 51 organized churches with plans to organize another 50 before their first district assembly in October 2008.

Just two weeks ago they were holding a holiness conference in a rural area. Over 1000 people had gathered to hear what these Nazarenes were preaching and teaching. It was at this time that 5 Muslims became desperate to help one of their friends. The man was paralyzed. Both legs were twisted into themselves, hanging from his body completely useless. They were paralyzed. He could not walk even one step. His five Muslim friends carried him to a nearby evangelical church of another denomination. They told these Muslims to take the cripple to the Nazarenes meeting nearby. They joked with them and said "the Nazarenes do not believe in the Holy Spirit. Take this man there and laugh at them when they try to deal with this situation." (Our Nazarenes are often accused of not believing in the Holy Spirit because they do not speak in unknown tongues). These Muslims left that evangelical church and carried their friend to where the Nazarenes were meeting. One of our Nazarene pastors (not the pastor of the Yeri Church of the Nazarene where the conference was held, but the zone leader) was preaching when they brought the man to the front and laid him at the altar. They said, "please ask God to heal our friend." The pastor stepped forward and laid his hands on the cripple and prayed for Jesus to restore the man's legs. Instantly the twisted legs began to move and then straighten and then strengthen until they were normal. The man flew to his feet and began running and jumping and praising the Lord. He was completely and instantly healed. On the spot 40 Muslims ran to the altar and gave their life to Christ. The great crowd erupted in great excitement and praise to the Lord.

A very sick Christian lady was sitting in the crowd that day. She had not been able to urinate for more than 3 days. Her stomach was severely extended and infections had set in because of her problem. She began to talk to those around her. She said, "that man was not even a Christian and God healed him. It is a shame for me to sit here when I'm a believer and not go and seek God's healing for my problem." The Christian people sitting near her were afraid to have her go forward for prayer. They were concerned that the victory that had just been won with the cripple being healed moments before would be lost if this woman was brought before the altar and God failed to heal her. They said, "just wait until tomorrow. We will take you to the doctors." Somehow word got to the pastor that there was a woman in the crowd who was very sick and wanted to be healed. The pastor told her to come forward for prayer. Her stomach was extremely swollen and she was in great pain as she stood before him. The pastor prayed and instantly urine came gushing forward (yuck! - but still a miracle). She walked away from the altar completely healed. The crowd went crazy. People were crying out to God. The Holy Spirit came and revival took place.

I need to tell you the rest of the story. In January I was in Metu, Ethiopia. I had been teaching and preaching in a leadership conference there. The pastor of Yeri (the community where this healing had taken place) was attending this conference. He was telling our leaders that he could not continue to pastor for the Church of the Nazarene because he did not receive support from the church. His leaders explained to him that we do not subsidize churches from the outside - that he had to develop a church of giving people that would care for their pastor. He told them last January. "Okay. I will try but I'm sure that I will be leaving the church. I have only 34 people. We have no shelter to worship under and we are poor." That was last January. Today is a different story. Since that momentous conference two weeks ago, his congregation has gone from 34 to about 250 people. They have built their own church building. They have continued to make the building larger and larger because the congregation keeps getting growing. A Nazarene from a nearby city went to this rural area to check out the stories that he had been hearing. He could not believe what he found there - a strong church, preaching a Christ who has risen and is still live and active today. When this visiting Nazarene left for home, he reached into his pocket and gave them money for 30 more sheets of tin for additional roofing. They need to extend the building again. This pastor who was ready to quit in January recently gave this testimony. "I do not think that I will die soon, but I'm ready and willing. And it will be right here that I will die. I will never leave the Church of the Nazarene. I will die here serving my savior."

My friends here it is again - another Book of Acts testimony. You need to know that God has not changed one bit. He still is bringing the paralyzed cripples to their feet, running and jumping and praising the Lord. Muslims are coming to Christ. Revival is taking place. God is still moving among His people.

Are we ready to die out to ourselves and let God work powerfully through us? That is His desire. Let's lay down everything that is getting in our way to be used by God in powerful New Testament ways.

SIERRA LEONE MIRACLE -- WOMAN RAISED FROM DEAD

Testimony confirmed by Rev. Samuel Bobor and local Pastors in Freetown.
Sister Mamie was a Muslim converted last year during Rev. Peter Scothern's Peace Crusade in Freetown Sierra leone. (October 2002)..... Mamie gave birth to a baby girl in May. She was nursed by a Private Birth Attendant .....Ten minutes after she had given birth everyone left her to rest. It was then that she started to bleed profusely ..... Before the Birth Attendant knew anything about the bleeding Mamie became unconscious and since there was no blood to give her she died.....The Pastor placed an Anointed Prayer Cloth on her from Rev. Peter Scothern and she was raised from the dead back to life.

INDIAN GIRL COMES BACK TO LIFE

A 16-year-old girl from a village in the northern Indian state Bihar died - but still had an important mission to fulfill. A team which wanted to show the Jesus film in the village had been brusquely turned away by the village elders, who refused them permission. As the girl's parents were about to bury her, she woke up from the dead and said something amazing: the God of which the film team spoke had sent her back to the village for 7 days to tell them about him. The girl went to search for the team, and brought them back to the village, where they could show the film. Hundreds of people decided to become Christians, and at least 6 new churches were started.

WOMAN WITH ARTHRITIS HEALED

A number of phyiscal healings occurred during a seminar about revival and healing in late summer 1998 in Pensacola, Florida, with Dr. Michael Brown and Suzette Hattingh, according to one participant. The following is part of the report: "Heike Barth is a young woman from Frankfurt, who stood up one day and danced and jumped around in the church. That is not normal, because she has arthritis. She says 'I am a musician in a secular group in Germany. It is a complete miracle that I am here; I attended a 'Holy Spirit' meeting in Germany, where someone gave me money to fly to Pensacola. I had never simply been given money before. A voice inside me said 'Go directly to Pensacola', but there weren't any flights free; everything was booked solid. Finally, I miraculously got a seat.

I have had arthritis since an accident when I was 17 years old. I could not run, could hardly walk, and was in constant pain. And now, following prayer, I can run around. Unbelievable!' Suzette Hattingh was a nurse and midwife before deciding to become a missionary, initially in German evangelist Reinhard Bonnke's staff. In January 1997, she started her own evangelistic ministry, 'Voice in the city'. 'There are many hindrances to Christians experiencing God's supernatural work,' she said during the seminar. 'One of them is knowledge in "the box of unbelief", our heads.'"

MYANMAR STERILE WOMAN GIVES BIRTH

In her area, the woman had been known as a witch for a long some. As she watched the Jesus film in her own language, she began to understand that the magical forces with which she worked could not compare with that which God had to offer. She decided to become a Christian and was baptised, but God had greater plans for her. All her life, she had wanted a child, but was sterile. She prayed to Jesus, and became pregnant soon after. She gave birth to a healthy son, even though she was already 52 years old. Inspired by what happened to her, 17 other members of her family have also decided to become Christians.

DEAD GIRL RAISED IN INDIA

"A 4th-grade girl was recently bitten by a venomous snake, and died in hospital despite the doctor's best efforts to keep her alive. The staff left the dead girl's room. A few minutes later, two Christians from a church in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, heard what had happened and went into the room. They prayed for half an hour, calling on Jesus to restore the girl's life. The girl started to breathe, and her life returned. They quickly called the doctor, who was naturally perplexed by what had happened; he removed the venom from the wound on the girl's leg. The girl is now completely healthy. The news spread not only in the local church, but also throughout the hospital."

ANOTHER GIRL HEALED

The report continues: "In the Lak valley in northern India, a poor family brought their seriously ill little daughter to the local hospital. The doctors had no idea what to do, and wanted to send the girl to the nearest city for treatment, and told the father that it could cost US$7,000. Sam Chand, the girl's father, was in a desperate situation, because he, like most others in India, had no health insurance. After hearing of his need, the staff of a local mission agency went to the hospital to pray for the girl. God performed a miracle: she is now healthy and has returned home."

ZIMBABWE - CHRISTIAN LEADER HEALED

Shortly before a strategy meeting of 100 Christian leaders from 9 nations in Zimbabwe in early summer 1998, Xolisani Dlamini, the main organizer, was brutally attacked by three men. After stabbing him with knives, hitting him on the head with a rock and stealing the money for the conference, they stripped him naked and left him to die. Hours later, Xolisani somehow managed to drag himself to his car, which his attackers had been unable to start, and drove home. "I have no idea how I managed it. Angels must have helped me!" he says. Eight days after the attack, Xolisani was sitting on the podium in the conference, covered with bandages and plaster. He was due to have another operation that day, but the doctors cancelled at the last moment after suddenly deciding that it was unnecessary. "One doctor said 'Something is happening which we don't understand'. That's a miracle."

6,000 new churches in the last 6 years

According to Xolisani's detailed research, significantly more than 6,000 churches have been planted in Zimbabwe over the last 6 years as part of a strategic plan named 'Target 2000', in which various churches and denominations aim to plant 10,000 churches between 1992 and 2000. The church-planting has added 2.24 million new converts to the evangelical churches, which is almost 20 percent of Zimbabwe's population. At the conference, Xolisani said "The devil is not at all pleased by the Christians' strategy. It is destroying his kingdom. He doesn't just sit around with his hands folded in his lap, watching people fill countries with churches. I can very well understand that Satan wanted to kill me. But he simply does not understand that I am now even more determined to continue, to do even more. I would happily give my life for the project of 'making disciples of Zimbabwe'.

BABY HEALED

Becca Bates and her son Dustin were just eating their lunch in Centralia, Washington, when they were disturbed. An ambulance drove on to the parking lot with sirens blaring, and a large group of people had gathered. Becca and her son also went outside to see what had happened. A 22-month-old baby was lying on the ground, and the paramedics had just started to examine it. The baby had stopped breathing, had lost almost all of its color, and showed no signs of life.

17-year-old Dustin went forward and did the unthinkable: "Could I hold the baby?", he asked the paramedics. They gave him the baby. He then asked "Would it be okay for me to pray?". As Dustin was praying for the baby in front of all the people, Becca went to the distressed mother to comfort her and pray with her. Just then, the baby started to move. Dustin put the baby on his shoulder and started to caress it. Moments later, its color returned and it began to cry.

1,000 HEALED IN CANADA

We have received two very similar reports of a conference in Victoria, Canada. To quote the report from David Wilkinson, Fellowship at Road's End, Washington: "My wife Marjory and I are on the way back from Trinity Christian Centre (Pastor Ivor Lewis) to Methow Valley, near Winthrop, Washington. In Victoria, during events with Charles Ndifon from Nigeria, '100 were saved and around 1,000 healed'.

We saw - and we mean literally SAW - blind people throw their white sticks away; we experienced how people could suddenly hear again, that a woman's tumor vanished, a cross-eyed boy could see straight, how people stood up out of their wheelchairs and walked around, and some believed to be healed of cancer and could hardly wait to go to the doctor to be examined. Most of the healings occurred during the worship time and Charles' preaching. The sermons were so simple, that you almost had to be there to believe it: 'If you came for a miracle, go to him who works miracles. If you came to be healed, go to him who heals. If you came so that Charles would pray for you, you've come to the wrong address. I am just like you. Seek Jesus, not me.'

I was standing next to a man who limped because his legs had been different lengths since birth. He was over 40 years old. I saw him healed right next to me. His father, who was also there, was beside himself for joy that his son no longer limped."

MORE RAISED FROM DEAD IN ETHIOPIA

"I went to the hospital in Atad to speak with people about Jesus and to see if I could pray for anyone. When I arrived, I discovered a dead young woman on a stretcher, surrounded by weeping relatives. I went to them, thinking I could perhaps comfort them, and was told that the daughter had been sick for a long time and had just died. I helped the family in their preparations for the burial, but wanted so much to do more than that. I started to pray. As I did, I felt my hands moving over the dead woman's stomach, and heard myself praying 'I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, even if they are dead, will live!' I repeated this prayer over and over. The family soon became disturbed and even angry, but one of the relatives was a Christian. He felt that something special was happening, so asked the others to leave the room for a moment. The young Christian, who I did not know, then joined me in prayer. I felt something like fire enter my body and pass through my hands. Suddenly, the woman opened her eyes and sat up. The relatives rushed in, naturally rejoicing. I was able to explain the gospel to them all. The following day, the woman was released from hospital, because the doctors could no longer find any signs of illness. She told her young Christian relative to teach the family how to follow Jesus."

"In our house church, I heard that one of the Christian's relatives had been taken to the hospital in Addis Ababa in a serious condition. I went with the Christian to the hospital, but we were not allowed to see the sick woman. After some time, a hospital employee came and allowed only me to go to the woman. As I arrived on the ward, I heard as the doctors were told that the woman had just died. The hospital employee left me alone with the dead woman. I was actually perplexed, because I thought God wanted me to pray for the woman's healing. Then I realised that he wanted me to pray for her even now, so I prayed for her, calling her back to her body. Suddenly, she opened her eyes. She felt much better. The nurses, confused, called some doctors, who immediately examined her, asking why they should examine someone who obviously felt much better. The woman was later released from hospital, and soon came to our church to tell of the miracle."

PRAYER AND FASTING LEADING TO UNBELIEVABLE RESULTS IN SYRIA

According to a number of reports, Christianity is continuing to expand in traditionally Islamic Syria. Observers speak of many Muslims deciding to follow Jesus, and attribute this to the country's Christians' intense prayer and fasting. The government is also easing restrictions placed on Christian movements in the country in the past. One Christian organisation was recently granted permission to print and distribute thousands of New Testaments. Syria's Christians are also restricted in their rights to meet, but the government has now donated land to build chapels and churches. In addition, water and electricity are available free of charge, as they are for mosques.

SADDAM HUSSEIN'S SON POSSIBLY GIVEN LIFE TO CHRIST?

Saddam Hussein's wild son Uday, whose debaucherous lifestyle has been creating headlines for years, was bedridden for some time last year after being shot. We have now heard from a reliable source that a young Christian called Rahkma (name changed) "saw herself explaining the gospel to Uday in a dream". The dream made such an impression that she immediately set off on her way to Uday's office in Baghdad. "I have a message for Uday from Jesus Christ, which I can only give him verbally," she told the security guards, who initially suspected an unusual joke, but Rahkma persisted. "Jesus Christ is a well-known person," one of the guards said, "so perhaps we should let the woman in," and spoke with Uday. "There's a woman here who claims to have a message for you from Jesus Christ. We can't get rid of her. What should we do?" Uday told his secretary to send Rahkma to him in his limousine.

She spent 2 hours with him, and could not only explain the gospel to him but also pray with him to invite Jesus into his life. According to the report, Uday was crying as he prayed. "What can I do for you or your family?" asked Uday. "Nothing," replied Rahkma, giving him a Bible. "I'm simply your sister now." Observers consider it unthinkable that Uday will publicly speak of his experience with Jesus in Iraq's current religious and political climate. However, during a televised speech some days later, he spoke out for increased tolerance towards Christians.

Rahkma, the same young Christian who spoke with Hussein's son Uday, recently travelled to Sudan following another dream in which "Jesus asked her to go to Khartoum" to explain the gospel to the Muslim Head of State General Omar Al-Bashir. Christian aid agencies speak of up to 1.5 million martyrs who have died since the start of the civil war in Sudan. Bashir is known for his fiery sermons from the Koran. After a long wait, Rahkma finally had an opportunity to speak with him after his sister arranged for her to attend a family celebration. He was just on the way out of the house after an urgent telephone call when Rahkma got her chance: "You have one minute," he said. Rahkma said "I have a message for you from Jesus Christ. If everything were taken from you, General, power, money, health, what would you do, and who would help you? Jesus Christ is always there for you!" One minute turned into forty, and Al-Bashir listened astonishedly to the gospel. At the end of the time, he asked Rahkma to pray for him. Observers consider this event unprecedented, but Sudanese Christians have just informed us that restrictions on Christian meetings in Northern Sudan were recently "inexplicably lifted by someone in high position."

GOD PROTECTS CHURCH AMIDST WAR

A team sent by mission agency OM to Russia returned with the following report: "During the weeks before the Chechnyan war, many Christian churches in Grozny received words from God telling them that a war was about to break out. As a result, around half of the Christians could retreat into safer areas, while others remained in the town during the war. Because the Russians failed in driving all the rebels out of the town, they decided to use a new tactic: first, rockets were used to destroy the upper stories of all the buildings, and in a second wave, the town was bombarded to destroy the ground floors too. Anything left standing would be destroyed in a third wave.

A Baptist pastor in the town, who was a bomber pilot in the Second World War, said 'I have never seen such destruction in my entire life.' Despite the massive destruction, one single building remained as by a miracle untouched: the Baptist church. That was also where the town's remaining Christians had gathered. During the attacks, other inhabitants of the town also realised that the church was not being hit, and 53 people also fled there. Amidst the sounds of the attacks, the believers preached the gospel to these people, and all 53 became Christians on the spot, including 15 Muslim rebels."

MAN HEALED OF GLAUCOMA, CHILD RAISED FROM DEAD

"Ronny, a retired businessman, was recently healed of glaucoma, an eye disease leading to blindness, after receiving prayer in Jesus' name," reports Jimmy Crompton. Soon afterwards, Ronny went to visit his daughter in Johannesburg. One afternoon, he heard screams from the street - it was a woman, whose daughter had just been found at the bottom of a swimming pool. "Nobody knew how long she had been there, but she was completely blue, had no pulse and had ceased to breathe," says Ronny. Her mother was completely hysterical. Ronny took the mother and child into his daughter's house and started to pray as others called the ambulance.

He prayed for 20 minutes before becoming angry and starting to loudly command the 'spirit of death'. Suddenly, the child turned over, regurgitated a huge amount of water and began to scream. The mother and daughter's screams helped the ambulance find the house quickly. As soon as they arrived, the medics examined the child and declared her completely healthy, but took her to hospital anyway in case of complications. Further examinations showed that she had suffered no brain damage or other ill effects. Ronny is convinced that Jesus raised the child from the dead.

MISSIONARY'S BACK HEALED

"As a missionary, you experience many things, including many miracles which happen to other people. Mostly, though, other people are healed - but this time it was me! I can hardly believe it, but God healed me of great suffering!", writes Dr. Johan Combrinck from Pretoria, South Africa. He is the director of AFNET, a network based on the DAWN strategy. "In November 1997, I seriously injured my back. I simply lifted a coffee table in the AFNET office, then my back clicked and that was it! To start with, I could feel nothing in my right hip and leg.

The orthopedic surgeon prescribed rest in bed, at Christmas of all times. However, it just became worse. With time, the pain became so bad that I could not sit, lie down or move; I was completely immobile. X-rays showed serious damage to one of my vertebrae, and an NMR test revealed a slipped disc. One piece of cartilage was pressing against the nerve, and another part had even fallen into the spinal column, where it was also pressing against the nerve. As the neurosurgeon saw that, he said that it was 'enough to cause pain and increasing immobility. The only solution is an operation' which could last up to 8 hours. The operation was scheduled for February 9. I had no medical insurance, because it is too expensive for me as a missionary. The operation was way beyond anything we could afford, so I repeatedly delayed it out of fear of bankruptcy. The doctors, though, told me that the only alternative would be confinement to a wheelchair. That worked - I asked many people to pray for me, all over the world.

A few days before the operation, I was due to visit the neurosurgeon for a preparatory examination. As you can understand, I slept badly the night before. But as I got up that morning, I felt no pain for the first time in 3 months. I couldn't understand it, and it was 'clear' to me that it could only be a temporary reprieve. Then the neurosurgeon examined me: the more tests he performed, the less he found. CHURCH-GOERS LIVE 7 YEARS LONGER?

It may not always be the most exciting event, but attending church weekly demonstrably increases life expectancy, according to a study published recently by the National Science Foundation. People who attend a church, mosque or synagogue each week have a life expectancy 7 years longer than non-churchgoers. The difference in the coloured population is even more marked: up to 14 years. Robert Hummer, the Foundation's Head of Research, says that scientists have considered religion to be an unsuitable subject of study for long enough, and it is only recently that the connections between faith and religion have been investigated.

GERMAN MAN'S HAND MIRACULOUSLY HEALED

Johannes Stener was a drug addict for 20 years, and has now spent a year in the Wiesenhof rehabilitation center, part of the Freien Christlichen Jugendgemeinschaft (Free Christian Youth Fellowship) started by evangelist Walter Heidenreich. "Once a week, we organised a game of football," says Johannes. During one of the games, he broke his finger, which was put in plaster for 6 weeks. After three weeks, though, the doctor discovered that the finger was growing together wrongly, and had to be operated on again. The operation was planned for the following day. Johannes asked for a delay, but had to show up in the hospital the next day to prepare for the operation. When he arrived, he prayed to Jesus, "feeling completely down" as he says. The following day, a doctor removed the plaster in order to x-ray the finger agai. Following the x-ray, he was sent back to the ward. As the doctor and 4 colleagues examined the x-ray, they discovered the impossible: the finger had grown together completely normally. The head doctor could hardly believe it: his comment was "That is a miracle!". Johannes says "God heard my desperate prayer and healed my finger!"

SIERRA LEONE MIRACLE -- WOMAN RAISED FROM DEAD

Sister Mamie was a Muslim converted last year during Rev. Peter Scothern's Peace Crusade in Freetown Sierra leone. (October 2002)..... Mamie gave birth to a baby girl in May. She was nursed by a Private Birth Attendant .....Ten minutes after she had given birth everyone left her to rest. It was then that she started to bleed profusely ..... Before the Birth Attendant knew anything about the bleeding Mamie became unconscious and since there was no blood to give her she died.....The Pastor placed an Anointed Prayer Cloth on her from Rev. Peter Scothern and she was raised from the dead back to life.
